Born in Hong Kong, Dr Wendy Lam is Chinese in origin and a Christian. She graduated from the Faculty of Medicine, University of Hong Kong. She is currently working as a consultant radiologist in a public hospital and as the Radiology Service Director for one of seven Cluster Hospitals in Hong Kong. She is also a Pediatric Radiologist, the Past President of the World Federation of Pediatric Imaging (2017-2018), and the Past President of the Asian and Oceanic Society for Pediatric Radiology (2013-2017).
Wendy has won thousands of major international photography awards, including over 600 gold medals, over 150 silver medals, over 100 bronze medals, and over 750 other awards in numerous international salon exhibitions. She has also won a total of 67 Best Author Awards, including 20 Federation Internationale De L’art Photographique (FIAP) Blue Badges.
In 2018, she was ranked by the Photographic Society of America (PSA) as World Number 1 on the Listing of Photo Travel Division Digital, World Number 2 on Listing of Projected Image Division (Colour), World Number 5 on Listing of Projected Image Division (Monochrome), World Number 6 on Listing of Photojournalism Division (Projected), and World Number 8 on Listing of Nature Division (Digital) in the International Salon of Photography 2018 (the 2018 Who’s Who in Photography). She was the only person in the world listed as World Top 10 in 5 different sessions in 2018.
